Determining whether to build internally or buy a prebuilt people data solution
When Sameer Raut, VP of HRIS at Sunstate Equipment, realized his organization lacked a long-term, scalable solution for people data, his first instinct was to look internally.
However, it quickly became clear that wasn’t the right path forward. Their IT team had a major data migration project underway and didn’t have the bandwidth to support the HR team’s needs.
Additionally, the complexities of managing people data complicated the project. This type of data needs to be in a separate location and, ideally, isolated from most employee groups.
