CHALLENGE
Merging business and people data together so leaders could make more effective decisions, easily
Reece Group is a leading Australian distributor of plumbing, waterworks, and HVAC-R products to residential, commercial, and infrastructure customers. Established in 1920, Reece Group has approximately 8,000 employees. With the acquisition of the U.S.-based Morsco in 2018, the business has expanded globally though the bulk of their 800 branches are in Australia and New Zealand.
Before they began their people analytics journey with Visier, the Reece Group had identified the need to provide more rapid, intuitive, holistic and useful people insights to their leaders.
Bringing the outside in to work more efficiently and effectively
Adam McKinnon, People Data and Analytics Lead at the Reece Group, presented the idea of leveraging Visier as the Group’s people analytics solution to his cross-functional stakeholders. Using Visier, he showed the estimated savings on personnel resources and indirect costs on reduced attrition.
The organization briefly considered building a solution internally, but once they saw the scope of what was needed, they immediately saw that doing it themselves made no time or economic sense. The ROI from Visier was clear.
